Kore Asian Media traces its roots back to 1990, when it was founded by Jung Shig Ryu, and his son, current co-publisher James Ryu, under the name KoreAm Journal.
What first started as a news tabloid aiming to give a voice to the local Korean American community grew into a glossy magazine featuring celebrities, leaders and newsmakers of the day. In 2003, the brand branched out to include Audrey, a bi-monthly sister publication written from the perspective of the Asian American woman. KoreAm and Audrey printed their final issue in fall of 2015.
Now an online hub, Kore produces relevant videos and news stories focusing on Asian America, from entertainment and politics to sports, culture and the community, with the support of parent company London Trust Media.
