Asian pop superstar Lay is days away from his first U.S. release — his single “Give Me a Chance” will drop Oct. 5, and a music video on Oct. 7, ahead of his full-length first U.S. album “NAMANANA.”

Lay, who’s also known as Zhang Yixing, is a member of popular K-pop boy band EXO, and one of Mandarin pop’s top singer-songwriters.

“Give Me A Chance” tells “a heart-wrenching story of longing after an old lover,” according to a statement from his team. It’ll be one of 22 songs on the urban pop, dance and hip-hop-infused “NAMANANA,” recorded in both Mandarin and English and out Oct. 19.

“I can’t wait for fans to get an early taste of his album,” Lay said. “I think many people can relate to the feeling of missing an ex, even momentarily, so I hope people all over the world connect with it.”

According to Lay’s team, Amazon pre-sales for the album sold out four times in 48 hours. Last year, he became the first Chinese artist to break into the Top 10 on iTunes’ world chart, with his second solo record “SHEEP.”
