“Bright Futures,” a new ABC pilot by the creator of “Black-ish” will star Lilly Singh, according to a Deadline report.
YouTube’s Superwoman will play Sid, a med school graduate who, along with her other twentysomething friends, faces the struggle of transitioning into the “successful professionals they’re destined to be.”
Singh’s co-stars include Emily Ratajkowski, Shameik Moore, Calum Worthy and Jimmy Tatro, as well as “Friends” alum Lisa Kudrow, who will narrate the show.
The pilot comes from Kenya Barris and writers Hale Rothstein, Danny Segal and Isaac Schamis, who work on “Grown-ish.”
Singh, a comedian, actress and author, is one of YouTube’s top vloggers, with more than 13 million subscribers. She will also appear in the upcoming HBO film “Fahrenheit 451,” directed by Ramin Bahrani and also starring Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon.
